Jason Steinhoff has been a licensed CPA since 2007 and started this company to make the taxpayer experience more manageable for individuals and business owners.

He has worked at a few other CPA firms of varying sizes and took note of what made each successful, but, what also hindered their abilities to grow or stay current with client needs the changing technology landscape.

Earlier in his career, Jason worked for a privately held finance company while still staying up to date on taxes and doing a side-business of tax preparation.

The finance company started from the ground up with no initial customers – Jason was part of the team that helped the company grow into a very successful business.

The experience of working through a start-up business during the worst economic recession conditions was tremendously helpful in shaping his approach to clients and small businesses.

When some business people or CPAs say ‘I understand’ certain difficulties you may be experiencing in your life or business – do they REALLY understand? Jason does; he has experienced it first hand.

Jason had the honor of working for one of the top 10 largest CPA firms in the nation for several years; an experience which provided exponential growth in his knowledge base and experience.

While the access to such important resources found there was very valuable, Jason ultimately knew he was a better fit to be in a smaller organization providing more personal service to clients.

My Tax Guy is intended to be the solution many people and businesses need to help them navigate their tax obligations and keep their financial reporting on track while having us effectively as a member of their team.
